Sarah williams

PS EDP Counselor

I have worked with children for over 10 years. I consider myself a compassionately curious individual, a lifelong learner who is fascinated by all things science and sacred. I taught Pre-k for 2.5 years at a Reggio Emilia inspired school, where I fostered communication through art, cultivated emotional literacy through imagination based play, and became aware of how much knowledge children have to share with adults. I believe that the biggest gift we can give to one another is active listening. Outside of Villa I aim to lead a mindful and intentional life. I teach yoga- focusing on Yin and Restorative yoga , enjoy exploring the beautiful landscapes of the PNW, and create art through various forms.

K-5 EDP Counselor

I am a Villa Alumni and love having a great sense of humor. I do everything from lava monster to homework support. I've been working in after school care for almost 3 years (1+ year at Villa) and cherish everyday with our amazing Villa kids. On my off time I train for strength feats and competitions and enjoy doing just about anything that's active. I enjoy staying up to date on video games and love playing old classics! I strive to show kids kindness, empathy, and acceptance into the Villa community. One day I aspire to become an elementary teacher.

PS & K-5 EDP Counselor

I was born in Kenya. I have 11 siblings and am the second youngest. As kids we loved to play and explore outdoors. My favorite thing to do as a kid was to play in the sand pit with my sisters. I am a great cook and enjoy planning many community events in Seattle, where I have lived for 29 years. Some of my passions include dancing, singing and henna. I love to party and enjoy making others happy.

K-5 EDP Counselor

I am bubbly, adventurous and enthusiastic. I have loved kids my whole life and worked hard at and practiced creating fun and engaging ways for children to learn and work their brains/bodies at the same time. Along with working with kids I am also dedicated to the practice of yoga and took two teacher trainings by the time I was 18 with Rasa Yoga School and have continued my daily practice of yoga ever since. With 500 hours of yoga teacher training, and knowledge and practice of mindfulness and awareness, I continue to learn and grow myself everyday, while inspiring and connecting with as many as I can along the way.

Director of Extended Day Programs (EDP)

I value and cherish the relationships we build with our children and their families throughout the year. Originally an outdoor educator, designing and coordinating experiential learning programs for students (aged 8 - 24) and their teachers, I honed my facilitation skills to help provide robust, enjoyable learning experiences for children and young adults. After this, for 7 years, I co-taught in elementary classrooms in international independent schools in various countries, planning and delivering the International Baccalaureate curriculum. I continue to love working with children and creating environments where they feel safe, nurtured and engaged.
